Course Description

Have you ever wanted to build a chair, but it seems a little intimidating? Shea has designed the Hearth Stool to include all the hand tool techniques needed to build a chair in a small project. In this class you will build a 3 leg hearth stool learning to saddle a seat, understanding leg drilling angles, the components of a strong joint, Making octagon parts and more. This class will be primarily handtool work while also covering some powertool techniques. 

Tools and lumber will be provided for the course.
If you want to bring your own tools, we will be using:
-Laser levels and tripods
-6 Degree Tapered Reamers (like this)
-No 5 Hand Plane
-V groove jigs (shop made)
