Full Extension - Piston Fit Drawers

Sessions: 2 sessions at 1 1/2 hours each
This course will be via Zoom.
Course Description
This is an advanced course for experienced woodworkers who are looking to learn how to make this style of drawer, not how to make drawers. You need to know how to cut dovetails and mortise and tenon joinery. If you are less advanced in woodworking you can sit in the course and listen but please note, we will not be teaching how to cut the joints, use the tools, ect.
-Day one of this course we will go over all the different parts and how they go together.
-The week in-between day 1 & 2 is when you will assemble your drawer.
-Day two of the course we will fine tune the drawer to make it a piston fit.
The moderator for this course is Stacey Lewis from Stacey Lewis Designs.
Tools/Materials Needed
Tools:
This is an advanced course, you need to have a complete tool kit to participate. Planes, chisels, saws, layout tools, ect.
Materials:
Prior to the course start date: students will need to build a simple box that the drawer will go into and mill the sides, front and back of the drawer. We will send out drawing/plans of the materials needed after you sign up.
