1/8th scale end table furniture model made by Ashley Pieper

Course Description

Learn to take your furniture design ideas and scale them down. Models are a great way to visualize and work through elements of a design and build process without making a full size prototype. Save on materials but go big on ideas! We will sketch out ideas and make them into 1/8 scale.

Tools Needed

Tools Needed:
Glue gun
Wood glue
CA glue
Toothpicks
Cardboard scraps
Pencil and paper
Rules
Craft knife
Fine tooth saw (there are inexpensive Zona / Olson saws that work great)

Lumber need:
Balsa Wood assortment pack that includes sheets, blocks, and sticks in various sizes – Like this
Extra pack of balsa sticks

Veneer or off cut scraps, not necessary but encouraged if you want to take the model one step further or have design ideas you are bringing into the class
